Dear Colleagues,

It is a great honor and pleasure to have your attendance to the 10th World Congress on Inflammation in Paris, 25th - 29th June 2011. This biennal World Congress is organized by GREMI, under the auspices of the International Association of Inflammation societies (IAIS). The key objective of the IAIS is to foster cooperation with national inflammation society members for the purpose of organizing high quality international scientific meetings and teaching courses focusing on inflammation research. We also encourage new investigators to participate either in competition or networking opportunities. The World Congress is held every second year which initiated in Vienna 1993 and continued with successful venues including Brighton 1995, Tokyo 1997, Paris 1999, Edinburgh 2001, Vancouver 2003, Melbourne 2005, Copenhagen 2007, and Tokyo 2009.

The World Congress on Inflammation returns to Paris providing you with an excellent opportunity to interact with Academic, Clinical and Industrial colleagues discuss “ translation of Inflammation basic research into patient care”. The current high costs and numerous challenges in drug development demand innovative changes in the way we develop medicines. Translational medicine offers an approach to utilize the knowledge of basis research to better understand disease processes and mechanisms of targeted therapies. This congress promises to bring exciting illustrations of this novel approach as a key focus to this excellent scientific program.

We look forward to seeing you in Paris in the early summer of 2011.
